Default aux port on intake manifold??

as some of you probably know, there is an aux port with a plug in it on the front of the intake manifold....its threaded.....I was wondering if anyone knows what size the threads are ? I was planning on installing a "real" temp gauge and would like to have the right on to just screw in there. thanks !

theres a post or thread floating around here somewhere with more info.. thats how i found out about the port. all i know is that it is a SAE thread, not pipe thread. i think i kept the plug i can measure it when i get home.

i looked for it and couldnt find it, but i know i have it somewhere. i'll try another spot in my shed and see if it is there. i have to run to the hardware store tomorrow and i'll see what the thread is. pretty sure its 1/2" fine thread.

for the record, this is what my setup looks like:

Size: 1.98 MB

flange pipe fitting (SAE) to pipe thread adapter, reducer to drop it to 1/8" and then finally the sensor. disregard the non-OEM bolt in my thermostat housing.. that was before i was forced to swap a new intake manifold..

So this can used for mechanical temp gauge? I never got around to installing mine. I hated the fact I had to cut radiator hose for hookup.
