Default this is awesome.

You see what I get for bragging about my fuel mileage, now my driver's door doesn't open.

it unlocks, i think, i hear the mechanism working and unlocking all 5 doors, but, it just seems my handles don't work, there is tension on them, i can feel it.

any ideas on how I can open the door without breaking anything?

Thanks!

im guessing you tried it from the inside? it won't open from either outside or inside? If the lock tab is not working when using the key did you try pulling the tab up from inside?

yep. tried all of that. sometimes the rear gate won't open so, if I cycle the locks a couple of times that usually works, gate unlocks fine. no go with the door. just tried for like 5 minutes cycling the locks.

My rear door won't open unless I use my key but all other doors work. Not too sure why but as long as everything keeps working I'm not going to question it.

You need to watch the door lock and see if the pull tab goes up when you unlock the door with the key, the rest of the doors mean squat at this point.
Lube the key hole, stick your key in and turn it, does the pull tab move?
If yes and door still wont open then its a latch problem.
If no then its a lock problem.

And if all else fails, a lock smith can probably use a slim jim or other techniques to open that door. Will cost you, but might save tearing something up. Once open you can removed door panel carefully to service lock hardware.

pull tab moves with the key.

I'm gonna look at a break down of the door.

I smell some hole saw work.

You can remove the arm rest and door handle from the inside and pull back the door panel and reach the latch mechanism and such.
