Default back door problems

Hi evryone, Have a 1999 discov back door will not open. Took it a part to find the outside handle disconeted. The lock seems to work. Is there a way to get it open. Thanks

Have you lubed the rear handle?
Will the handle move at all from the outside?

So it is fixed now?

Make sure something else didnt slip off inside. I take it that you can get it open from the handle inside? Also, if you have no place to insert a key, you have a series 2. Might check that forum.

OK, you have a DII then.
DI's have a key hole in the cargo door.
I bet your child safety lock is on.
