Default bad heads help

ok got the bad news I expected, both heads are warped 75 thousands or .075 well beyond what the shop considers cuttable by the specs they have and we do not know if they were cut before can these be salvaged or do I need to look for another pair?

shop asked if I knew what the stock specs for the heads were so they could check the height/ thickness

Let us get some other opinions on that fine point. The 98 is a GEMS engine, was also in Range Rovers. You probably would not want to get heads from an SAI truck as an example.

ok I printed the page and went to the shop, heads mic as new uncut so they did some calculating and believe they can mill and still be in lr spec

guess I misheard on the phone and he said 7 and 5 thousands not 75 so hopefully I won't be buying heads once they mill and remic

btw thank you very much for your help buzz

Ive got a complete engine assembly still sitting around after my swap a few months back. One of the cylinders was discolored but the block pressure tested okay. Just didn't want to take the chance given you cant perform the pressure test at temp. Heads are in good shape. PM me if you need them. I have everything crated and ready to go from Houston, TX.
