Bank 1 bank 2 Way confused!

No. Cylinder 1 is on bank 1, on the left side of the engine from the driver's perspective. You could also say bank 1 is on the driver's side in North America.
From forward to rear: 1, 3, 5, 7 are on the left (driver's) and 2, 4, 6, 8 are on the right (passenger's) side.
