Default battery

my 97 d1;has 113500miles;lately battery has been draining;noticed overhead lights stay on;if i disconnect wires in trunk light and pull the bulbs on ceiling lights will that stop draining of battery

Maybe a problem with one of the door switches. If a little black **** broke off, that could make the interior lights stay on.

Yes double check the door light switch if it isn't deactivated with the door shut it will leave them on - the four door switches are different than the rear door switch - you can find switches anywhere
