Right, that was my understanding, as well. I find it interesting that mine shipped with the majority of the LSE trim, yet is an LE. I wish I had the original window sticker, as I'm curious to know if the extras were listed. Way back when I contacted the dealership where it was purchased, but they didn't have any info.

Putting VIN in Carfax does not tell you anything about the Rover other than color.

This is what I was asking about. Why does one say 50th and the other does not? I’m just curious.

Did you ever find the window sticker for the one you had? I'd be curious to see what it looked like.

Are these plaques actual brass or plastic? Are they mounted in the same location? A wide photo of them would be good to see.

Yeah I read the info I posted straight off the window sticker in earlier post with prices. 50th Anniversary Package was 1,000.00 added to the LSE sticker price. I can attach a screenshot when I get home.

My 98 LSE which I sold about 5 years ago. She was completely flawless. Zero rust TX truck, 1 owner, seats looked like no one had ever sat in them, everything worked, paint was great, zero mechanical or electrical issues. I just sold it because I had a weak spot for an 04 D2, not realizing at the time what I actually had... However it went to someone who truly loves it so I'm happy about that.

Interesting! And yours was lacking the 1:50 badge and painted mirrors? Did it say LSE or LE on the side of it?
