brighter instrument cluster

As a slight aside, how hard is it/how would one change the color of the illumination? The green makes me slightly nauseous and reminds me of 80's Japanese vehicles. I would prefer the red that BMW's have. Is that a filter/plate/bulb itself?

Some of them are bulb color and others are filter caps over a clear bulb

I just did mine. The back illumination could probably be changed, however the top bulbs that shine down to light up the needles are clear. The green filter for those is part of the housing.

If you changed the ones behind it might look strange given the added green shining down from above.

If you got drastic I suppose you could remove the whole filter attached to the housing.

As a side. Changing the small lights in all the switches to the orange is pretty cool.

Default 1 single black connector

hello!

can anyone tell me that is that single black connector in to of plastic cover do? on in midle near edge of picture.? is it grounding or current? mine is missing that cord...! thank you all!

Did you ever find out? My tach is going and i have swapped out the instrument cluster. im going to check the alt (its pulling 14.10ish volts so that shouldnt be a problem).
