Camel trophy d1 ?
I agree this looks to be genuine from the details. Lots of people copy the Camel Trophy look, but stop short of the details that would be especially costly to reproduce since they don't necessarily make the car so much better in a practical sense.
It's not obvious that this is worth a lot of money. For sure there are people that have strong desire for the CT cars, but this one looks in very rough condition. It seems unlikely that you would find a buyer to pay top dollar for one this bad. Think about it. A deep-pocket collector is either going to pay up for a clean one, or at best they'll be willing to offer a good price for the basis of their project and most of the big bucks to whomever does the restoration work. Deep-pocket buyers don't just cut big checks for a pile of junk. They want the end result they can show off.
But believe me you will have no trouble finding plenty of wannabe collectors that will have a strong desire for this heap, and there's no reason one of them shouldn't be able to pay a handsome sum above what you could expect for any other Discovery 1.

There aren't any camel trophy vehicles that are in good shape unless they've been restored from this condition. I heard one of the drivers say something like they were told they had to last a month and they drove them like they only had to last a month.
UPDATE!!!!!
So I bought it emidietly! 17,000 miles, 5 point cage, double battery, roof rack, 2 spares, weird box on dash, no radio volt gauge instead, bumper guard(winch is missing? But a hole for it/ modified grill) box full of alt's , timing belts, ball joints, 4 links bars, misc parts.
this truck scrapped something on the passenger side, cause the side mirror is broken off, back side window and front window is busted but I can find another, paint fade.....there is some damage.....but mainly cosmetic.... It has a non registered vin with DOT due to it having a bill of sale/vehicle invoice from the seller as an off-road vehicle. The sellers name is
Land Rover North America

Sold for 1$

Rear quarter is pretty much a bolt on operation (with a little panel sealer at the top). You won't likely find a used one in sandglow, but you can probably find any other color dirt cheap and re-spray it.
Also, there seems to be a problem with the passenger side wheel....if you turn any left and go forward, the wheel kinda locks up....then you reverse it kinda clicks but moves freely....possible hub/ joint problem?
