That funny box on the dash is a Terra-Trip navigation computer. Probably picks up LORAN signals - longitude/latitude. They didn't have civilian GPS units in 93, it was brand new to us in military aviation. Test trials done in Air Force Search and Rescue birds first in 92, I remember the civilian contractors we hauled around while we crossed off flight check boxes for ourselves.

Any numbers off this truck? Any plaques with numbers, how about the title/bill of sale? You have to try to trace this truck to see if it's the real one because the US won in 93.

so if usa won in 93 and there is a bill of sale from a rover dealer in Maryland maybe the dealer brought it to the usa and had it on display for a time? worth checking/verifying the backstory

The weird thing is, I thought the Lanham rover location was integrated soon after ford bought em out? I think because it was the North American headquarters? Would land rover give out info nowadays/ have that stuff on file?

I've thought about it for my Defender... but it would be way cooler for a CT truck.... you might just try calling Land Rover though... heck maybe for the cost of an international phone call you could talk to someone in Special Vehicles that will just confirm it's the right truck, the one that won.

Whhhaaa!?
That's LRNA, not a dealer. It's possibly the truck they "gave" to Tom Collins in appreciation for all he did for the CT in the US.

Ok, adjusted e brake....seems like it needs new pads....I have some in the box o parts....lol. The main issues with the wheel locking up is the caliper is broke where it mounts....on both sides where it mounts...then would catch the wheel and pin the wheel from the inside....can I use a normal discovery caliper? Anyone got one laying around that is used? I'll buy it

There are multiple calipers listed that might be used on a 1993 (if that's really the year model). They might or might not be the same as a NAS disco. But a nas caliper would work. If different you might want to replace both. Or you could but land rover defender calipers on it. Sometime people talk about d110 and d90 calipers as being different but what they are really trying to say is vented rotors or non-vented rotors. Nas 110 had solid rotors and nas 90 had vented rotors. But after a certain year they all could have been vented.
