cargo storage
#22
Couple thoughts, and these are just my $.02.
I would build some sort of framework or structure for the table to sit on. Maybe even have a thin piece of plywood on top for the table to sit on. I'm thinking if there is no framework then all the weight of gear on top of the table will be transferred down onto the totes underneath. The totes aren't that durable and course break on large bounces. Also, it would seem pulling a tote out with all that weight on top of it would be difficult.

On drivers side there is a seat bracket On the a/c unit I will attach the diamond plate alum to and I will figure the pass side, trying to stay lightweight and no wood, got it worked out in my head just can't work on it till I recover from surgery on nerves in arm
Think the table is rated few hundred lbs. I think so just a matter of holding the ends up, like I said back of table is on the wheel wells
I do welcome ideas/suggestions

You could maybe modify the brackets closest to the door off of the spot on each side where the cargo cover clips. That is right into the frame and will give you plenty of support. Below is what I did to my DII but the premises is still the same. I am not finished yet as I am putting a filler board on the top and sides of the drawer to clean it up. I will be doing the same to a 98 DI that I am building for my wife currently.
This is some additional stuff I did since I use it bird hunting a lot in the fall.
Here is the DI I am currently working on.
