Cat Delete
95 Morgan Plus 8, has a 95 rover 3.9 v8 with the mechanical maf
the car i bought has no cats, and i know these are motors that are supposed to have them. I'm definitely not adding them, the maf is set to 1.0 volts. Seems to have a put every once in a while out of the exhaust, I'm checking timing tomorrow. Question is, aside from setting the maf to 1.0 volts, what else am I supposed to do for the cat deletes to kind of clean up the exhaust smell?
I have that issue, and it runs a little warm (225 degrees )
Thanks in advance everyone!!

Can you check fuel pressure? Fuel pressure regulator? I recently purchased a fuel rail off a '96 that has a schrader valve to check fuel pressure, but not installed yet.
Recent addition to my '94 3.9L was a 3.0 bar (44 psi) regulator. Spec is 2.5 (37), no vacuum condition. This has caused occasional backfire, with more smell when started cold. Still in a trial period. New regulator has 3.0 etched onto the cover near the vacuum port.
Another recent addition was a Flowkooler water pump and URO ERR3443 original spec standard duty fan clutch. Using a genuine LR thermostat (88 deg C, 190 deg F). Coolant temp up to 205 F (195 F typical) when driving slowly around town at 100 F outside temp. Gets a bit hotter waiting in a line. Last year, it got up to 222 F in a parking lot, A/C on for over ten minutes, 100+ outside.
Hope this helps.
