I know a lot of people prefer Shell Rotella - but Walmart is selling a gallon of the DeloŽ 400 SDE SAE 15W-40 for $11.67 - you can get free delivery from Walmart these days if your order is more than $35.00

Pretty good deal compared to the Rotella prices I usually find

Walmart has the Rotella 15W-40 for 12.97 at my Wal-Mart so I just stick with that. I did notice the entire line of K&N Oil filters have changed and they no longer carried the HP3001 filter.

 

I checked on line walmart and they are showing over $20 for a gal. of Rotella - I will check when/if i go to the retail store - thanks

 

Amazon has the OEM LR ERR3340 oil filters for $17 - pretty good price these days

 

Napa gold 1515 (larger) or 1068 (OEM size) will do an excellent job.

 

is there anything on non-factory oil filters and the appropriate pressure their design develops ?

 

My WalMart also has the Rotella 15W-40 for around $12-13/gallon. Tractor Supply also sells it for $12-13/gallon, even cheaper when they run a sale. At their grand opening in our area a few years ago, Rotella was on sale for under $10/gallon.

RockAuto has the Wix 51515 oversize filters for $4.43/EA. I add a few to my cart whenever I order parts from them. I've used that filter exclusively for 5+ years.
