After searching the internet It appears the FL1-A is the same as the FL-300 - Just a larger capacity - not sure why they don't show the cross-fitment but this would seem to be a fantastic quality OEM spec filter with extra capacity for less than $4 each - just tired of paying nearly $20 each for LR3340's - I know there are a lot of opinions on filters - but I would like to have a filter made to OEM specs not aftermarket and the extra capacity seems a bonus - that being said is there any issue with filter pressure developed that would not be correct with these filters ?

I've had the NAPA Gold 1515 filter on mine since I bought it with no problems. Shell Rotella for the win.

Since we're talking about it, I do need to change out my diff and trans fluids. Can't remember what I put in it last. What for diff and trans?

I use Valvoline Dex/Merc transmission fluid and Super Tech 80w90 gear oil in the diffs and transfer case. Both of these are available at Wal Mart.

FL1A should cross reference with the FRAM PH8A which that size filter was used on earlier RRC's before they switched over to the smaller FRAM PH16 sized filter. Only using the FRAM P/N's for cross referencing purposes. I would NEVER use a FRAM filter in any of my vehicles. I've been using the FL1A for many many many years and it's a very high quality filter for the $ and very easy to find.

Thanks - just ordered some Motorcraft FL1-A's - incredible bargain for less than $4 each - just frustrated paying nearly $20 for the Landy ER3340 - can't imagine it can be that much better ?

I haven't used OEM LR filters since like 2004ish. The K&N, Mobil1, and Motorcraft ones are excellent plus larger capacity. The Royal Purple filter was also good, but very hard to find so I just stick with the 3 I mentioned above.

I am not adverse to using OEM LR when I can but I am not happy to spend nearly $20 each when I can get an OEM (Motorcraft) oil filter for $4 - like battery's and tires

Thanks !
