So I bought a set of the chevron style running boards from a guy for my 96 disco I but after trying to install them i think they might not be the right ones. Does anybody have pictures of theirs mounted so i can see where the mount points are. Hopefully I am just over thinking it and doing it wrong. Any help is appreciated in advance.

 

Iirc the ones on my 98 were mounted to body mounts? Then bolted sideways through the mount bracket

One to the body mount(vertical) one to the frame(horizontal), you have to drill a hole for that one.

I have only seen "chevron" running boards for a D2 or some other, but not a D1. Maybe they are the same though.

 

Yeah the one I have look like they mount through the frame. The front plate has three bolt holes and the back plate has four bolt holes. The mount and the board are one total unit.
