Default chirping noise during acceleration

Hello all ! As the title suggest's i have a noise, i have recently changed the front driveshaft to a D2 version. After about a week of minimal driving I'm hearing a chirp noise. The noise speeds up as I speed up, Honestly it sounds like i have a warped rotor and the break pad is "squeaking" against it, But That is def not what im hearing, It seems to come from the drive line/transfer case area. Can anyone off the top of your head maybe from experience, know what im hearing ?

Was the driveshaft new, rebuilt, or used? What are you running for lift and what's your pinions angles like? Any vibrations?

Used drive shaft, im running a RTE 3" lift, with corrected castor bushings, No vibration to speak of, sense changing out the front drive shaft. She runs smooth and quiet, except for that darn chirping, which is intermittent. Had the new drive shaft on for about 2 weeks now. And chirping started day before yesterday. Also, i freed up the transfer case linkage, so the cdl would work, had good movement all the way round, but NOW i cant move er out of high, i can go left and right, but not forward to low. another thought.. if i hear the noise, if i accelerate hard it goes away.

Are the u-joints for the new/used dc shaft with grease zerks or without, new or old? If with zerks did you grease em because to me it sounds like they're without, old and the next thing you'll hear is a BANG!

Chirping is metal to metal.......not so good. Just be cool, if you can wait to drive it wait. Antichrist had a post on indexing the u-joints last year, I'll see if I can find it. Check all your yokes, dc's too. If a cap was turning it's wallowed and your gonna need a new part. You need a centering bearing in the dc and maybe that's the chirp. I hope so. At least with the brakes you can check it by applying the pedal......

Sounds like u joints. Replace the centering ball as well because its not greasable. You will be good to go with a fresh rebuild. Joints are pretty cheap and a centering ball is only 20-25 bucks.

Just read the bottom of your post, yeah a chirp is decent notice, a rumble and it's game over real soon.
