And not just LR. I had a Neon (don’t tell anyone) years ago that had a CKPS that kept failing when it got hot.

The Idle issue = you need to reset your adaptions. It will relearn after a drive cycle basically and you should be fine.

Problem found. The very end of the clip-on of the plug that plugs into the IACV was cracked and does not hold. I went back tot he junkyard and cut that wiring off and reinstalled onto mine. Works fine.

Thanks for all of the input. At the least, it directed me to the issue. But, I had not checked the connection itself.

Congrats on finding the issue. Six days with plenty of rabbit holes to go down. Same clip is broken on my '94, but it holds in with a tight fit. Some other connectors are held together with wire ties, a few have been replaced with new.

Recently bought a new IACV, Walker, $34. I put the old one in my trail bag, for a known good spare part.

Still interested in your new injectors, if you want to share.... My '94 has new Accel and the '96 has used Ford, both 4 hole, and happy with both.
