I'm really only interested in one with a manual transmission, and I've kind of started to really like the series 1 but I'm open to other options. I like the ACE system on the series 2's a lot, but it'd be a daily driver/ fun off road vehicle for me, and I place a lot of value on having a manual gearbox. That's the main reason I'm interested in this Disco. Open to any and all suggestions

Series 1 are getting thin, more Series II available but not by much more. I've seen them used as dd's more often than not but then if you have highway travel planned it's gonna take a little longer to get there......

The 94/95 Discovery's offered a dizzy driven spark and manuals whereas the 96/97 give you a flywheel ECM driven timing. I've driven both and I find them both equal to operate. If you can find a decent running/looking early Disco with manual take the time to bring it up to snuf and you'd still be under budget to then add your off road parts and it would blow the doors off the trailer queen offered by Red Mountain.

With all my upgrade and not so nice interior (120k+ miles including all extra parts new and old), I was considering selling mine starting @ $7k.

9.8K for that one is too much for stock, even with those miles.

I'd be willing to pay up to 7k if the car had no mechanical issues and had been taken great care of. My newest concern is the daily driverability of a series I disco. Do any of you guys drive yours daily? If so what are the most common maintenance issues?

Read on...there is a tech section has a ton of info on typical issues. Also, many posts.

I am really considering selling mine, since I just bought an LR3.....Mine has MANY Terrifirma upgrades.
