It has gone up to $9.50 but still a good deal! I have a Disco II though so the expansion tank I need is a little bit more spendy but still around $20, so not too shabby and beats Ebay. Worth a shot to see if this helps. Got a new thermostat too

What is it like locating parts in Alaska?
Best to have a spare parts collection in your garage/basement.
This site has a lot of kind and helpful people.

Honestly, it is a bit of a struggle for parts and extra shipping costs. Lucky 8 won't ship to Alaska, period. Great Atlantic British will, but I haven't been super impressed with them so far. Ebays ok. Other sites hit or miss. Usually, takes weeks for something to arrive. I'm sooo jealous of guys on here going out and pulling/sourcing parts. That is not an option here. I am slowly building my knowledge up and the tools I need. No garage or basement. I have my parts spread out around the bedroom like a crazy lady. You are so right about all the kind and helpful people on here. You're one of them It has made the experience of owning this vehicle much more enjoyable! I really had no idea what I was getting myself into...

its good your taking a proactive approach to learning about your truck. I knew nothing about Rovers 4yrs ago and now I do with much thanks to this forum of helpful people.
I hear ya on trying to locate spare parts, and trying to get parts fairly quickly. We all start at someplace. Read as many threads as you can, take notes, take screenshots, and whatever it takes to gain that knowledge cause when your truck is up and running life is good. Read all the stick posts too. You"ll be fine.
