cooling fan replacement.
so im having alot of over heating problems. i have changed out the thermostat (none in before), changed almost all hoses. i belive my fan clutch is not working. i rairly hear it engage and one of my fan blades is broken off. so insted of playing for a new clutch and fan i was considering an electric fan. here this kit will fit perfetly. any one have an idea if this is a good idea?

Umm I think that just your a/c condenser fan and doesn't really have much to do with your truck over heating, unless you are using your a/c. The fan clutch is hooked to the big fan behind your radiator and doesn't really make a noise when engaged, I mean outside of the fan noise it self.
I'm new but you should try to post as much info as possible about your truck (ie: year, mileage, ect.) to help with diagnosis.

this is a replacement to the cooling fan behind the radiator. the fan just rotates freely and dosent engage. i have a 95 disco with 150,000 miles on it. i have been replacing all the hoses because i have blown 4 of them. and the coolant would just boil in the resivore. i have flushed the entire system and coolant flows through the radiator nicely. today i put a thermostat in, as the previous owner didn't have one in. no oil in the coolant and no coolant in the oil.

A missing thermostat will not make it overheat!!!!!
If it has a broken blade, that is a big problem as no fan with a broken off blade is anywhere near balanced.
Post some pics and provide adequate info.
There is no way an electric fan can be substituted for the main engine fan if that is what you are asking.

I would be more worried about the cost of repeatedly overheating the engine, it is aluminum you know and they do not tolerate overheating well at all. Repeated overheating will literally cook the oil, sludge up the engine, possibly cause warping of parts that you do not want to warp and even cracks in places like blocks/exhaust manifolds and other quite expensive items.
If you can't afford to replace the clutch fan and your broken fan blade, you should stop driving it before you destroy it.
Get it hot enough, it will even catch on fire then your insurance can replace it for you.
