Default custom grill

anyone done a custom grill, saudi style or just mesh in the two slats? I've got mine off to fix some cracks in the lower corners and kinda want to do something with it. pics would be nice.

here are a few pics of mine for comparison. If you need a different angle or specific mounting shots, let me know.

I have an old thread where I redid mine. Built mine from scratch. Just take a look at my profile pic. Only addition is I added the LR badge on the R side (looking head on). Also OKDisco did a mock saudi using his existing grill. He simply cut out the middle and epoxied in a mesh material he got from an auto racing place. Looks great.

yea thanks I saw yours, I was thinking more like trimming some plastic and epoxying some mesh behind it. I don't want it too out there, just open it up a little and add a little touch that only a rover guy would notice its changed.

Got it many years ago before they were "special"... super cheap back then at about $170.

I can take some better close up shots of the mounting points and the frame if you like.

I feel like if somebody could make a mock-saudi grille and sell it for cheap, they could make a killing...

Tweak, let me know if you find any plans for a custom one that includes DII's, i'd like to upgrade if I ever get a new bumper.

well I just went to home depot and found my new grill, I'm feeling frisky and I think I'm going to do a write-up.
