D1 front hub locknut removal
anyone know what tool and how to remove it? ive tried various channel locks without any success. it seems like someone used red loctite on it; i tried to heat the lock nut to weaken the threadlock and no luck. thanks for any help.

Cool video, but I don't get the guy's comments about the box spanner. He says it's 5 quid or 10 quid, "silly money." It seems completely reasonable to me compared to bunging up the nuts with a chisel and channel-locks. The wait to get a tool on order is usually what makes me improvise, not the price of one or two pints! This guy spent way more than that on his fancy telescoping, double-knuckle ratchet jobber-do.
To me, "silly money" is the price of an actual genuine LRT-54-002 tool. I found one for sale at $64.17 and in another place for $90.

I have a hub nut tool I can let go for $13 shipped.

Let me know if you're interested. I was able to use a channel locks for my first brake job, but I got lucky with the nuts.

If you have a local trailer or 18wheeler service place near you like I do (Trailer Transport) they may have the size socket. I got mine in a 1/2" drive for $15. No shipping fee or wasted time
