Some silver linings from my ill fated D2 rear door u-pull-yard adventure...

Havent seen this stuff addressed.

- All 5 door seals from a D2 will fit a D1. They also appear to be an upgrade, as the foam-rubber seems beefier.

- Rear Wiper motor is identical.

- Woofer box is pretty much the same. No amp on D2, but has better speakers.

- A-pillar trim that holds tweeters looks like it has the same mounting points, but one was raped and pillaged, so I didnt bother buying the other side to find out.

 

The door seals on the doors or on the body?

 

On the body.

 

Sweet. There are a few D2's in the junkyard here, will take advantage.

 

The woofer box is not the same. The speakers are shifted to the right, and require elongating the cutout in the rear door to fit them.

The speakers are better though.

I've been selling DII door seals to DI and RRC owners for years. The four door seals are $80 plus shipping. If you own a DI and want the tailgate it's $100 for all five seals. Everyone who's bought a set loved them.
