No idea what happened, I got to my friends house when it was dark and they were working just fine. Jumped back in my land rover and non of the dashboard back lights would turn on. AC, MPH, RPM, Gas, temp, nothing was lighting up. I had to drive home with my cell phones flash light lighting up the dash to see my MPH =/ lol.

Any idea. =) thanks for the help

 

P.S 1999 Land rover discovery I

 

This happens to me regularly. There's a 10W fuse in the fuse panel under the steering column that's probably blown. There's a short somewhere. I haven't found mine, but a common place is the glove compartment light contacts touching the surrounding metal.

 

Could also be bad dimmer if more lights on dash impacted.
