DD disco with 33's and no lift
ZUKI, I never said you didn't know how to wheel or didn't know what you were doing. I think the only thing I was pushing is that your tires would rub given your current set up. And by your own admission they do. Jake and I are friends and I have no problem debating him on a public forum or busting his ***** texting him. I assure you there's no hard feelings between us. Looks like you're having fun at Moab and yes I'm jealous as hell. I can't wait to get back there, if only it weren't 1300 miles away.
I would love to know where you got your tires for that cheap because I want a set!

One can lean a lifted disco over further than you butt cheeks prefer and not flop it over. Everyone is behaving as if a lifted disco is just waiting to fall on its side traversing a pebble.
Tire rubbing against the radius arm is not that big of a deal since it doesn't usually result in measurable damage to the tire - that reduced turning radius does stink though in some situations. But, rubbing a tire against sheet metal seams and fender lips can result in tire damage, to the point of ruining a tire. That's just a waste of a tire.
Some people aren't into chopping up the body to clear tires... some are. It's a matter of choice. If you wheel enough, that pretty unchopped body is going to get mashed up and it won't really matter.
With any rig setup, there are advantages and limitations. It's all in what you as the owner of your rig are willing to accept.
Good on the OP for trying what he wanted.

but with a 2 inch lift i could remove the sway bars and that would have been real helpful.. i spent more time driving a 3 wheeler ( 1 tire in the air) than i have in my whole life
let me know when your coming to moab.. it would be fun to wheel with some other rover!
i got the tires from a suzuki guy .. he got them on clearance.. and they sat in a shed for several years and his plans of building up and putting on 33's never happend he needed money and i got them.. i cant get over of how awesome they hook up! especially at 6 psi

ps glad you guys are no friends are your just giving each other a hard time

Then you must have brass buns.
I want your tires! I agree with Jake. Lower is better. However I love my 2" lift and longer shocks. Improves flex like crazy without sways and is still very stable. That looks like a blast. Id love to wheel that some day!
