Default More work

Ok today took computer out and apart looks like brand new one no rust or anything. I put the used computer in and it idles little lower but will not run right spits and sputter. It acts like a died spot in throttle. I found the charcoal filter vacuum hoses old and hard one was loose so i replaced them. I pit original computer idle lower but 1200-1500 but no other change.

Ok, that's good to know. Did you drive it a little? Sometimes a computer needs to re-learn in order to settle to a good idle. Not just around the block either. What's the engine vacuum look like? You could have an intake manifold leak, or brake booster leak. Can you see with your diagnostic tool what the vacuum is, or do you have a gauge to put on it? Is it steady? How many PSI at idle ..and at off-idle RPM?

WHat signals are you gettin from the O2 sensor? MAF sensor? If you unplug the IAC, what happens to the idle?

Just curious how you came out on items you've checked recently? You should be narrowing things down pretty well soon.

I only have weekends to do any work on it.I drive truck with daily home time but with rain and usually dark when I leave and dark when I get home. With very little time to do family things. I just deal with the rover or just ride motorcycle until weekends. But will let you know what else I find.

-18psi? You might want to recheck that, assuming you are on Earth.

Inspect the wiring for the crankshaft position sensor. It corrodes and causes it to run like that.

Hey Robert yes I'm on earth intake vacuum and yes gauge is right 0 to - number for vacuum psi. And intake vacuum would be - number it doesn't build Positive psi. And yes new wire for crank sensor and new sensor less than a year old.

Is it an auto? If the crank positioning wiring is good you may want to pull the flex plate inspection cover and see if any of the pickup teeth are damaged.

your gauge probably reads in*mg for negative #s. -18inmg is about -9psi. -18psi is impossible

Well got my hands on a snap-on computer it can read but not change anything. I still reading -38 temp in Florida. No check engine but stored codes on both computer ( p0158, p1179,p1177,p0451,p1317) on top of watching live it says road speed is anywhere from 1300 mph- 20k mph. Tried unplugging seed sensor didn't change anything. So now what I don't have use of computer for long just this weekend.
