Diesel swap low down
Great info.
It's seems to be a LOT of money and a LOT of work, (over 10k by my math).
Would seem to be better bet to just find a factory diesel in europe and have it shipped over or find one already here and get it.
My wife really wants a 110 Defender so I have been shopping around and came across this...

Wonder what the prices were on the sold ones? Any idea what price range that one is available for?
I know a fellow club member in Greensburg Pa that imported a retired MOD (Minsistry of Defense) vehicle that is absolutely incredible and totally cared for since it was modern day British Military. He won't say what he paid for it, just that it was "competitive" with buying one locally and that included shipment from England to US East Coast (Port of Baltimore I think it was).

I do LIKE that one. Awesome vehicle.
Here's a pic from the Schenley Park Race Day during the week long Pittsburgh Vintage Gran Prix. The two in the middle are ex-MOD's. The one on the right is John's recently imported Series III, the other one is a retired British Army ambulance affectionately known as "The Royal MeatWagon". It's a sight to see Sir Jagsalot take it off-roading with the rest of us. He sometimes has to be winched along but if he can build up momentum he does well, just not a lot of Horsepower to get him out of what can be out there. Here's some pics of John leading the rest of the club on the Virgin Trail Run with his newest Rover. He went from a FreeLander to a Disco II to a Series III.

Who wants a CLEANER ROVER of any type. I prefer mine dirty. real nasty says I had a real good time in it. A clean Rover is for prissy sissy wimp boys who just want to impress somebody with their CLEAn Rover........
Why have A ROVER if you gonna keep it clean????????
Someone said that the difference between the D1 and D2 forum is that D2’s spend all their time with electronic problems and D1"s talk about the weather or share pancake recipes.
I like this post, it started with diesel and ended in a discussion of what color a LR should be to show the mud best. D1’s are bored, looking for something to do. This is fun, where does it go now?
