Default Diff lock worn engage

Will not engage. So I went to engage my diff lock, doesn't move. I can go up to neutral and low gear, but will not move left into lock. Anyone have any ideas on how to get it over? I sprayed some lube on the linkage, and still no good.

Apply gentle pressure to the left while the truck is rolling slowly forward or back. This lets it engage when parts line up in the diff and bind is released.

Yes the RAVE has instructions

You basically remove the center console, then remove the transfer case shifter boot, and you have access to everything. There's a lot of parts to remove along the way, but you'll be fine. When you get to the shifter boot you need to drill some rivets out. Don't let this scare you. Just get some more pop-rivets to reassemble.

Another option is to feel around from under the truck and try to grip the linkage. Not sure you'll be able to do much though. Might be worth a try.

You could also jack up one wheel, get someone to turn it by hand back and forth, while trying to engage diff lock.
