Hi all. my 98 discovery diff. finally gave up on me. Im looking for a replacement unit. Was just wondering is there any difference between disco 1 and 2. Saw a diff from disco 2 for a good price but not sure if it gonna fit. 3.54 is the ratio, but i think all of them have the same ratio. Heard something about axle splines have to match. need some advice before buying, thanks.

 

There are subtle differences but they are interchangeable.
