Default Disco 1 driver door handle broken

My drivers door handle broke on my drivers side. It seems like everything is functioning properly except for the broken handle. Can you replace the handle without buying the whole mechanism?

handle is pretty much an assembly, get a used one, you can switch out your lock tumbler, I just did mine a week ago......not a bad job, i would reccommend disconecting the battery so you dont inadvertently trigger the alarm , remove the inside door panel / handle / speaker etc to get at it

If its unlocking then the superlock is disengaging (**** won't come up otherwise). It could be that the mechanism is jammed. When I took mine apart I didn't reassemble it correctly the first time and a spring came loose preventing the latch mechanism from moving freely (I used a screwdriver to engage and disengage the latch instead of closing the door). Either way your going to have to reach in and unlatch it by feel. Its been a while but I remember that if you loosen a couple of screws for the frame you could move it slightly out of the way.
