Default Disco has no spark

Recently bypassed the security on my 94. I've got fuel pressure now but no spark. Could this be something I did or is it another problem? Thanks for helping.

well....hard to say yet, but check this first>>you should have battery voltage between the "+" on the ignition coil and an engine ground when the ign key is in the second on position.
the ignition on that is not computer controlled.....have you ever had it running recently ? and it may be due for a new cap / rotor/ wires and plugs....

I replaced the plugs and cap and rotor. It had been running. Today I checked and it had voltage at the coil with the key in the 2nd position. Tried starting it and it started. Ran for about 10 seconds, died and wouldn't start again. Checked it again and voltage at coil with no spark. Bad coil?

could be bad coil, or poor connections on the coil, go and get a cheap coil to use as a test....it's handy to have as a spare anyways,
Iv'e had 2 big $$ bosch ones fail within a year

annnnnnd there's the Ignition Amplifier module to be concerned with....but those dont usually fail till they get hot

Put a new coil in. Still didn't start. Noticed it only sparked one time while trying to start. Checked the wire going to the distributor cap. Guess the next step is the crank position sensor. Thanks for all the help guys, much appreciated. Will be out of town so it will have to wait until next weekend.

94-95 discoverys dont have a crank position sensor....it's not needed with a distributor.
get the rave manual downloaded and check the gap of the pickup coil in the dist...it shouldnt need to be adjusted unless someone has been ther before you, but if for any reason its wrong . it could cause the no spark issue,
is the ignition amplifier mounted to the distributor ....or has it been moved to the coil mounting bracket ?
