Default Disco I, all of a sudden won't idle.

I have a 1994 Disco I, with 5 sp. manual transmission. It has sat inside my studio building for a while now. I decided to charge the battery and start using it a bit, now that gas prices are lower. It worked fine for the first couple of trips out, but today, all of a sudden, it won't idle. I had to keep pressure on the gas pedal to keep the engine running. It runs fine otherwise, but pull up to a stop, push the clutch pedal in, push brake on, and the idle goes down and the engine dies. I made a temporary "emergency" adjustment by adjusting the throttle cable to the engine, and that works, but not optimally. Any ideas? I don't seem to be getting any enrichment for cold starts/running. This is a fuel injected vehicle.

It was the idle air control valve, as I suspected.

Was it crusted and you cleaned it or did you replace it with new?
