Disco injector rubber o-rings leaking
Hello Everyone. I am finally back in the discovery world after getting rid of my discovery 2, but always wanted a 5 speed disco and I finally found one. Long story short the guy I bought it from said it had a bad engine. My father and I got it started no problem and it idles amazing and everything. The only problem was antifreeze shooting out of the pass side headgasket. Well a couple hundred dollars later and about 18 hours of fun, we replaced the headgaskets and it fired right up.
My problem is the fuel injectors are shooting gas out of the top. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how the gaskets (o-rings) are supposed to go in there. I had 8 flat rings that I am assuming should of went into the fuel rail, and then an o-ring on each end of the injector. Is this correct? I am going to fix it this weekend so I wanted to check here.
PS: it is a 95' Discovery 3.9L 5 speed.

So putting a flat rubber washer (came with the atlantic british HG set) in the fuel rail, and then an o-ring on each end of the injector is the correct way? When putting it back together, what kind of lube should I use on the ends?

I believe that is correct it has been a long time since I had to install injectors in a rail, but when you take it apart should be self explanatory, whatever spray lube or similar you have around should be fine if it evaporates no biggie since it is only for install
if you use a pick or such to remove the old seals just be careful not to scratch/scar things, you may need o rings for the fuel line connections too.
I would remove all the injectors from the rails and give it a shot of air to be sure there is nothing clogging the rails
WEAR SAFETY GLASSES AND POINT AWAY FROM YOU OR OTHERS DON'T WANT GAS AND CRAP IN YOUR EYES
I believe you install all the injectors onto the rail then snap assembly into intake it can take a little force to snap them in( reason for lube)
