Our fuel may be cheap but nothing else is.
Health care is off the chart, food prices are rising as well as home pricing...I bet if you boiled it all down our cost of living is very comparable to yours.

Yeah, but the 3 door was a 200tdi engine, and you only bought the 200tdi if you couldnt afford the 300tdi...

I bet its not far off anyway, thanks to the £/$ exchange.

im waiting for Spain and Portugal to collapse so the euro tanks and i can afford to come back over the pond. I honestly want an ex-MOD defender. If i can find one that hasn't been run into the ground that is. They seem to go out of serivce at just the right year that can be imported here.

They can usually be found at auction for cheap, but you can never guarantee that the logged 100k is an easy 100k. Highly likely to be hammered out, but if don't mind overhauling them it can be well worth it.
My mate had one before his 300dti def90, but it got stole whilst we were in afghan last year and weighed in for scrap!!!! It used to run sweet on cooking oil from his chip shop!!! Just stunk like fish and chips all the time!

I'll see if i can find the link for the ex-MOD auctions for ya.
