Discovery is a bouncy, tippy, rocking ride?
Front and rear radius arms got done today, will save that rear upper for another day
Looks like I sit a little higher, these orange don't seem very firm nowhere near what I am used to with energy brand in fact they seem as soft or softer then the rubber I removed just not compressed and dry rotted like the rubbers
Instal was super easy with 20 ton shop press, all bolts removed with no problem I was very suprised
Need to know a real good way to check that rear ball joint on the upper A arm
We tried bounceng and rocking the body we even pushed side to side and I do not hear clunks or see the ball joint doing anything odd so...

Hi Tom,
I am curious as to what your opinion on the additional bushings you installed is. Is there any difference in handling compared to your previous post that it was less than what you expected?

Went to Trenton today with rover no load or passengers sway seems better on hwy but now I have a wicked vibration/shake not death wobble had this intermittant before at 65 but now it is much worse and as low as 35 so...
Also went for a short trailride last night and did full articulation need longer shocks or lower mouts, no squeaks from poly
Went short trail tonight with some hill climbing seems OK crawling off road
They seem OK on vehicle just feel soft out of the box, still need to do the bushings on the upper rear so it may remove and slop left on hwy rear did not feel as squirly
The triangle steel plates with the kit has the bolt holes off by a little but you can thread in the bolts
Never hear of the brand flow poly (think that's it) says made in UK so hope they hold up

Well the rover gods continue to smile on me with this upgrade, we got the upper A off the back in less then an hour including jacking and dragging tools out, big bolts came right off 1 1/8" wrench and socket, cotter pin and castle nut came right off 30mm offset box wrench couple smacks with pickle fork I pre sprayed everything with liquid wrench while we were getting tools out
We are soaking the 2 bolts that hold the 3 pieces together overnite with deep creep to see if they will unbolt
Balljoint looks original and moves freely but does not seem to have alot of play so i need to know how to tell if it is bad

Thinking maybe I should do the ball joint while it is out how bout this
Would you have a part number or a link to the specific Wheel spacers you installed?
Thank you
I also have a stupid clunking while going over speed bumps out of the rear. With the vehicle stationary I started pushing on the rear passenger quarter panel, and the vehicle sways (not rocking from side to side, but sways, think like a skateboard) quite a bit for about 3-5 seconds afterwards... time to get the new bushings!
The only side to side I had was the tire sidewalls, my clunk over speedbumps and off-road is the rear shocks topping out or rear sway making noise, the balljoint did not appear bad but dad talked me into replacing it since so cheap and no way to grease plus a destroyed boot

with the upper A arm and ball joint done have not been on the highway but it still feels squirrely in the back driving around but guess it might just be me since the wife has not mentioned anything
the only other thing I can think is a bad shock but I have excessive bounce, wonder if the shocks are just to extended to do their job efficient for body roll?
