Question Disovery 98, rear windows don't work

HI
new to the forum. my discovery 98 rear windows both sides are not working. Any idea on where to start. should i take the door panels out first and check motors or better to start at some electrical connection troubleshooting.

Thank you

search for window ECU repair, normally a cracked circuit board that can easily be repaired.

The window ECU is located behind the glove compartment. You can pull the connectors loose and grab the edge of the circuit board and slide it straight out. Case is almost to remove due to the top bolt not easy to get to.

Cracked solder joint needs reflowed.

ECU or the wheels in the regulator are both broke. That's another very common problem.

What these guys said, easy DIY.
If it is the window rollers you can just replace the rollers, check the tech section for a how to.

Wish I had come in here a couple of years ago. I have replaced all my widow regulators due to the one little nylon/plastic roller. I tried to find how or where to just get that part. About $100 average for those things too. Oh well. I'm here now.
It's really nice everyone sharing their tricks of the trade and I appreciate it.

Default Metal Rollers

My rollers messed up, I just ordered metal ones from:

Window Regulator Roller, Discovery

I'll post pictures once they come in the mail! I think metal rollers will allow me to never experience this problem again.
