Yes, lets do that, lets do exactly that. Naahh I just want to check out the out banks at least once. Supposedly there are all sorts of camping and places you can drive out on the beach and set up at type of stuff.

Heres the finished result. The cloth seat cover is still loose but the pad is where it should be. I think the cover is loose from lazy previous owner sitting in it while it was stretched down to the floor.

Only problem I have with the canvas solution is the elimination of any give.

I'm one of those who pops in ones I grab from the 'yard.

exmoor now sells replacement foam and the diaphram

Re-Trim Kits, Foams, Diaphragms

Though some have found, at least for the D2, that the foam is cheaper for oem from the uk. Not sure about D1 availability of oem.

Not to drag up an old thread, but I did something similar in a Jeep. Most aftermarket suspension seats use nylon paracord for the suspension.

Considering that, and the fact that I had several hundred feet of 550 lbs test para cord that I used to make bracelets, watchbands, dog collars, and leashes out of. I decided to try my hand. Basically I ran it across from side to side with alittle drape to it. This firmed up the seat quite a bit.

could be the sewed cloth with plastic inside the seat cover was not inserted in the slot of the foam, which hooks the cover in place.
