Does anyone use P- rated tires for offroading?
I'm working on some home financing now that has me watching dollars for a bit and my girl needs new treads. I took a rock to the sidewall and had to use my spare -Pirrelli Scorpion P205/70... and the spare on my 96 was also a P-!!! I ran LT's on the 96 ( and of course, they are worn out also!) and I do like the feel and security of them, but looking for good used seems impossible. I want 235's or 245's but everyone around here has P- rated in their used pile and I really don't want to spend the mount and balance money on a gamble (as I see it!) I do use it a s a daily driver, but weekends it's no holds barred, and we do have some lovely, rough and rocky roads here in Central Utah ( eat yer heart out!
) Any thought? Russ

(Sorry for the delay, it's been a rough few weeks!!!)
Yes, as in P205/70R16, original factory type. I always ran LT tires on my 96 and really enjoyed the stiffness in handling and above all, the "anti-rock-puncture sidewalls". Russ
