I wanna to stay with the same size I think (stock). But I was looking at some winterforce mt 's I drive on the beach a lot here figured if they work in snow they would work on sand. Any Opnions????

I have Pirelli's on mine. Been pretty happy with them, but are not a great sand tire.

i have a 96 disco. I use a brand not common in the U.S. Nokian. I keep the the original size. I have not found anything that causes any trouble. The brand is made in germany. Got a great price, because no one knows about them. I found mine at a local tire retailer. 300.00 mounted and balanced for all four. Make sure you check the manufactured date on any tire. More than 4 years old can be a problem. Also most of the retail shops I checked were charging 450.00 plus for similar tires. The repution for the nokian in germany is good. I keep the tires maintained and average 40-50k on each set. no special driving techniques, just keep on top of the maintanence. hope it helps. duboff

not likely, snow melts and compacts completly differently htan sand. Micky Thompson Baja Claws seem to be the most popular for the dune goers around here. but they're a bit pricey, and BFG ATs seem to be the next most popular, they're also what im probably going to slap on when the time comes.

sad to say i have bridgestone dullers on mine

but they are brand new and came with discovery when we got it a few months ago
i just cant see spending the money right now for new skins when they are so new
they are great for traveling and in the rain, but really suck off road
They look great though
