Default Door handle question

Hey guys new to forum but not new to rovers. simple question....Will a driver side rear door handle work on the drivers door? mine broke and i have a donor i can get but its a rear door handle. thanks in advance for any input

The handles are standardized, but the outer front handles have a lock assembly and the rear handles do not. If you're asking about the inner handles, I'm pretty sure front and rear are the same for each side.

i dont care about the lock my doors will not lock anyway. i have a push button start so all my security stuff is bypassed. i just want to know if a driver side rear door handle will work in place of the driver door handle

The reason i ask is a handle without the lock is way cheaper than buying one with a lock and key

Parts diagram/PNs seem to confirm that at least for the front. Rears likely the same but didn't go further.
