Default Driver side mirror glass mounting adapter Help

I have purchased this part from Atlantic British

Mirror Glass Mounting Adaptor (Part # STC4625) - Land Rover body panels/fittings/trim exterior from Atlantic British

The old one has the tabs that hold the mirror glass broken so this will fix it. But I have not figured out how to remove and replace this part. Has anyone done this and is there a trick to this? I am afraid of breaking other parts getting the old one out. Any tips would be appreciated.

PS this is a 1998 discovery 1

if memory serves me well....the adapter just pushes in or snaps into place and the glass snaps onto the adapter.....the adapter usually breaks when you remove it so its a good thing you have one coming....let us know for sure how this works

Take it to a automotive glass shop, give them the parts, 10min and $20 later and you will be back on the road.

So I changed it. It was as easy as pulling the old one and snapping the new one in. Thanks XCELLE8

Oil pan gasket, Valve cover gaskets, Intake gaskets. Find a sunshade assembly for the sunroof and a passenger rear mudflap and a good set of power seats my leather is pretty worn.
