Default Quarter Glass and rear door glass rubber seals

Like every other Disco I have owned the seals are cracking at the corners of the rubber seals around the glass. (rear door, and both quarters.)

HAs anyone here actually tackled replacing them? how big of a job is it? in the RAVE it doesn't look all the hard, but I know looks can be deceiving.

Normally, I would just use some black silicon and fill the effected areas but these seals are actually deteriorating... literally, is you wash them or rub on them they come apart in black smears...

Also, have the seals that roverparts sell been updated to deal with the cracking problem? If not,is there another source that has?

I've replaced mine, it's not difficult.
I've no idea if newer ones last longer, but it's sort of the nature of rubber seals.

I just resprayed my rover last month and have to remove all this glass.. Getting it out is the easy part... the alpine windows install fairly easy but the rear quarter and back glass are pains.. Use two people and the rope trick and be patient and they will go in. Dish soap helps.
