Default drivers door latch

OK drivers door has gotten annoying as hell, opens fine inside, outside latch seems to pick when it wants to work, suggestions before I tear the door apart as what to look for? Maybe something bent? Don't want to tear it apart if it is a known issue that will require parts

Providing nothing is broken in the latch( that little F'ing spring), then you need to remove the door skin and adjust(shorten) the connecting rod between the handle and the latch. That rod can get very rusty so hit it with some oil/ PB Blaster first.

i had the same issue with my 96 a few years back. pull the door panel and lube up all the moving parts. if i recall correctly, i messed with the adjustment but that didn't really help. seems the moving parts just needed to be lubricated.

Disconnected rod from latch to handle and adjusted a few turns till it connected correctly, the rod was adjusted out so it was pushing up on the cam piece attached to the handle quite a bit

Tried it a bunch of times and never worked this good before, sprayed the latch for good measure but it was greasy

Thanks for the suggestions

Picture would be nice. My passenger door won't open from the outside and I paid $40 to get it looked at and they said it needed a $4 part and they didn't have it in stock so if I would bring it back they would fix it for $100.
