Default Drivers door stop

The drivers door on my Disco 1 goes just past 90 degrees before the slide stop catches, does this sound right? Pass side doesn't seem to open that far. And I think the drivers side should have a little more fiction when you open it. Seems too easy, I have had wind catch the door and pull it out of my hand. Most cars, the door kind of catches at the half way point but not on my D1.

Just hate to see the door slam against the front fender. I assume there is some part that may be worn or ??

Also getting tired of having to mess with the rear door latch about every 2 - 3 months. Even if I lube it once a month it still seems to act up. No gravel roads but it still gets stuck when I need to use it (so it seems) Pulling the emblem and soaking it with penetrant( works better than WD40) always gets it to work after about a day of soaking. Is it worth pulling apart and is there something that needs replacing there too??

Thanks.
