Default Driver's electric window keeps sticking!!

Boys

My driver's window keeps sticking half way on it's way back up, going down is fine, it makes it up eventually but doesn't half take it's time! I've read somewhere on this site (can't remember where though) that it could be to do with the window lift ECU. Is there anything I could check is in working order before I possibly go out and buy myself an ECU? There's one on eBay for £25 which wouldn't break the bank if it's needed

The details of the Disco are in my signature if needed

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

Cheers, Josh

You need a new window regulator.
The window lift ECU repair is for the rear windows, the circuit board cracks and then the rear windows wont work because that is where the crack is.
Your problem is in the window mechanism inside the door.
The #1 suspect is a $.02 plastic roller that breaks, you can take the regulator apart and replace just that roller with one from a hardware store.
But you will need to open the door and watch the window work and see exactly how/why/where it is sticking.

That's a great help thanks, I'll look at that at some point and let you know how I get on

With winter coming on you better do it today cause your window regulator will fail and you won't get it back up.
