Default Driveshaft

In the rave it states when you remove from truck to mark location so you reinstall in same place. If I'm replacing my driveshaft how do I line it up or does it not matter?

Make note of the u-joint "clocking" or positions in relation to yoke. It seems that front spline had a wide spline that will take the guess work out of the front, and if you don't move the truck, rear should be darn close! I thought the Rave had a bit more explanation to the logic or maybe it was British Pacific... At work now, so unable to offer more - hope this helps! Russ

Ok so I believe I screwed up. Instead of replacing the drive shafts I decided to replace the u-joints. I did this before reading any thing about replacing them and did not mark the locations. I now have a vibration at 50 and up.

How bad have i messed up? How can I go about getting the drive shafts back into the correct location? I did take the front slip joint apart but I did mark that and believe I got it back together right.

Check this out to understand - driveshaft clocking. Still driving - (yes, both hands on the wheel!) but, I was able to quickly find this. Take a look at your scrapes and pry marks now before you loose any possible help to your memory - you might see enough to remember. There aren't that many combinations of alignment - I know I have done this myself on other vehicles, and I was able to correct it without much trouble. Think positive, Grasshopper! ( Sorry, a momentary "Kung Fu" flashback!!) Russ

I know the back wheels did not turn but I did turn the brake drum when u had the drive shafts out to adjust the e-brake. So I'm afraid I turned it and its off.
Do the yokes need to be kept the same way also? If so I have no clue if they went back on the same way. I have not seen any markings that give me any clues.
I do know the spacing on the bolt holes are different 2 closer together and 2 farther apart. That repeats 180 out from said spaceing.
Should led I just pull each shaft turn 180 and see what happens?
