DUMB question

Ok, sooooo what the H E L L is that bell looking thing behind the front diff???????? SOmeone aid is was kind of a motor mount deally O thing. I had to ask.

Donut guy(sorry, couldn't help it) and banzai are right. I had to ask the same question years ago when I was at the LR stealer for something unrelated. They said DO NOT remove it.
