Engine noise, oil light

Next problem - pretty bad oil leakage under engine. Is there a common problem/solution?

Did this happen right after you changed the oil?


If it did, when you changed the oil filter, did you make sure that the old black rubber seal came off with the old filter? If you have the old filter, look and see. If it's missing from the old filter, it could still be on the truck, and causing the leak. Simple fix, just take off the new filter, peel off the old seal, and put the new filter back on.

If that's not the problem, where is the leak coming from?

Where does it look like the leak is coming from? You have the any number of sources. Clean up the area as best you can and check underneath regularly to see if you can find out where the leak is coming from.

And good choices are oil cooler lines, front crank seal, and oil pan gasket, and front cover gasket. Clean up and look for more.
