Default Engine pulleys alignment

Hey guys, I have recently had my 98 Disco engine rebuilt and am squealing the serpentine belt to the point it is fraying on the edge. I keep realigning it up with the grooves but it keeps squealing and fraying. Is there a way to find out if I have the pulleys aligned properly?

Thanks in advance
Ken

Did your power steering pump pulley get removed and reinstalled by any chance?
That happened to me and it was on backwards which threw the belt off alignment.
As far as aligning many have suggested simply using straight edge devices such as rulers, yard sticks, etc... I just eyed mine.

I'm pretty sure the pulley didn't get removed. The power steering pump did though as did the alternator, tension pulley, AC unit, Camshaft and Crankshaft pulleys... Just for laughs, are there any spacers or washers on either of these units I could be missing?

As a side not and somewhat ridiculous, i have these occasional dreams where someone steals parts off my rover and had one last night where the headlights, grill and wiper housing was stolen and that's it LOL!!! Not kidding!

My power steering pulley is not aligned with the idler pulley on top of it and it’s tearing my belt I’ve thought about adding washers.

did you fix this issue?
