Damn that's crazy! Can you modify the pump hanger to take an aftermarket fuel pump, like a Walbro or Aeromotive?

I was shocked to see how cheap these pumps were for the Disco 1, makes me wonder about the quality. Hell for that price I can buy 2 and carry one with me as a back-up. lol

Hey does anybody know if our pumps are a two stage pump or multi-voltage? In other words does the pump run harder at higher RPM’s, more throttle, higher loads, More air flow or all the above? Reason I ask is when I put it to the floor (hold throttle wide open) it seems to run fine. So I wonder if the pump is running slower when I get my vibration at about 2K then the voltage increases, the pump works harder then the engine smoothes out.

I'm going to check the vac hose later today.

I have a built 3000GT and they have a fuel pump that increases flow at higher loads/RPM's. I guess it helps from overrunning the FPR at lower loads but increases flow under boost. I'm curious if ours does this also, since they are non turbo I'm thinking not though.

I cleaned the MAF sensor last night. It looked pretty clean already but I cleaned it anyway. At 1st I didn't think it did any good at all but on my way to work this morning it did seem to shift a lot better than before. Also the more I drove it the smoother it seemed to run so maybe the ECU just needs to adjust the fuel trims a bit and it will run better/smoother.

Also I'm starting to back off on the pump being the issue. I still think I need to pull it and inspect it but it runs really well WOT so I'm having a bit of an issue believing it's starving for fuel.

I think it might be something causing the issue when in closed loop.
